Mr. Kittiphan Uiyamapan, Project Director of The Forestias by MQDC
Today, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), one of Thailand's leading real estate developers, announced the progress of construction for 'The Forestias', the largest real estate project in Thailand valued at 125 billion baht. This will be the world's first city project designed in every dimension to promote healthier and happier living.
MQDC revealed that infrastructure and tunnels are 95% complete, with ongoing construction of various residential projects, all proceeding according to plan. Currently, 'The Forestias' has reservations with deposits totaling over 4 billion baht, despite the global COVID-19 pandemic affecting public health and the economy.
The project developer has invested a substantial amount, over 1.4 billion baht, to create the 'Forest Pavilion', a grand learning center to showcase the vision and concepts of 'The Forestias' through an Immersive Experience designed by world-class experience designers. Construction is now complete, and it is set to open for public viewing in the first quarter of 2021.

The project 'The Forestias', located on a 398-rai plot on Bangna-Trad Road, km 7, consists of various residential projects, including houses and condominiums, aimed at catering to diverse lifestyles and family sizes. Additionally, there will be business areas for offices, a sports complex, lifestyle activities, retail shops, restaurants, and a Family Center for creative family activities, as well as a Town Center for community and cultural activities, theaters, event halls, markets, and one of the project's highlights is a 1.6-kilometer elevated walkway that connects various areas and components of the project, providing a walking path amidst lush nature.
Mr. Kittiphan Uiyamapan, Project Director of The Forestias by MQDC, stated, “'The Forestias' represents a new model for city development globally, designed and constructed by some of the most recognized experts in the world, including leading institutions from around the world and Thailand, ensuring that every component of the project promotes healthier and happier living.”
“Currently, construction is progressing according to plan, even as the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic affecting public health and the economy. This reinforces the private sector's confidence in the economy and future of Thailand. MQDC's decision to develop 'The Forestias' with the vision of creating the world's first city project designed specifically to promote healthier living is a testament to global trends, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has heightened everyone's awareness of the importance of healthy living.”
Mr. Kittiphan stated, “We have invested a substantial amount, over 1.4 billion baht, to create the 'Forest Pavilion' so that interested individuals can visit and experience life in 'The Forestias' firsthand. This marks the first time in Thailand's real estate industry that a developer has allocated a budget to create a building for showcasing model rooms of various residential projects, allowing visitors to learn, understand the vision, and experience the entire project as a city designed in every dimension to promote healthier living.”
The 'Forest Pavilion' features a large usable area of approximately 6,500 square meters, resulting from collaboration with world-leading partners in various fields, such as Foster + Partners Thailand, a world-renowned architectural firm based in the UK, which designed the Forest Pavilion; ITEC Entertainment from the USA, which designs entertainment experiences for Disneyland, DisneySea, and Universal Studios, creating experiences and recreation within the project; VAVE Studio from Germany, which designed the exhibition experience and story creator for each room within the 'Forest Pavilion'; and BUG Studio, a well-known Thai firm, which designed multi-disciplinary designs to present unprecedented experiences.
One of the highlights within the 'Forest Pavilion' is an exhibition room called the Chamber of Secret, which will present the project's vision through an animated film created by DEC Media, displayed on The Wall, which is currently the most advanced technology in the world. The Wall is a microLED screen that can convey the ultimate viewing experience by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance clarity, providing an extraordinary experience for viewers.
Mr. Kittiphan stated, “One of the most important factors that promotes healthier and happier living is being close to family members of all generations and loved ones. Therefore, one of the most significant design innovations of The Forestias is the way residential areas and surrounding components are designed and laid out to meet the needs of people at different life stages, whether they are young professionals, newlyweds, families, or elderly parents. Each stage can live independently and have personal space, while at the same time, areas for all ages can connect harmoniously and safely, facilitating family members from various generations to be close together.”
'The Forestias' consists of various residential projects, such as the 'Wisdom' brand condominiums, 'Mulberry Grove' brand residences, 'Mulberry Grove Villa' residences, 'The Aspen Tree' residences, 'Six Senses' residences, and 'Six Senses' brand hotels. Additionally, there will be a large medical and health center equipped with the latest facilities and tools, staffed by some of the most successful and renowned experts in Thailand.
The Forestias project also features a significant component: a large forest area of 30 rai, which has been cultivated from seeds and saplings, covering the project's central area. This aims to bring nature back to urban communities, based on the belief that being closer to the diverse wonders of nature is one of the most important factors contributing to health and happiness.
“This is the first time in the world that such a large forest area has been integrated into a city project,” Mr. Kittiphan stated.
Another unique component of The Forestias, which has never been seen in any real estate project in Thailand before, is the living space designed specifically for the elderly to live safely and comfortably, including specialized facilities for daily activities, a clubhouse, and well-trained caregivers.
The Forestias is located in one of the most promising areas, situated in the strategic zone of the Eastern Economic Corridor, which is expected to be the fastest-growing economic corridor in Thailand. The project can easily access major expressways and public transportation.
